Національна рада з питань телебачення та радіомовлення переоформила супутникову ліцензію ДП «Мультимедійна платформа іномовлення». Таке рішення регулятор прийняв на засіданні 24 серпня.

Компанія змінила логотип каналу  іномовлення з UATV на FreeДом. Також  були змінені технічні параметри мовлення каналу «Дом».

Нагадаємо, російськомовний марафон «FreeДом» був організований на початку березня силами медіагруп StarLightMedia, «Інтер», «1+1» і «Україна» на базі мультимедійної платформи іномовлення UATV. 

Завдання марафону «FreeДом» — дати можливість дізнатися правду про україно-російську війну «російськомовним глядачам з усього світу». Зокрема поява такого каналу стала відповіддю на запит у світі на російськомовний телеканал, який розповідає правду про події в Україні. За інформацією джерел ДМ, значна частина команди, яка виробляє марафон, базується у Варшаві. 

На фінансування «FreeДом» уряд виділив 165 млн грн з резервного фонду державного бюджету 7 травня. МКІП має відзвітувати про використання цих грошей до 30 грудня 2022 року.

Переможцями мистецького конкурсу на створення контенту для інформаційного марафону «FreeДом» стали ТОВ «Новинна група "Україна"» («Медіа Група Україна»), ТОВ «СЛМ Новини» (StarLight Media), ІП «1+1 Продакшн» (1+1 media) та ПАТ «Телеканал “Інтер”».
