Вулицю у Святошинському районі столиці перейменували на честь журналіста і військового Олександра Махова, який загинув під час бойових дій на Харківщині у травні
Про це інформує Командування Десантно-штурмових військ Збройних Сил України.
"Київська міська рада підтримала проєкт рішення про перейменування 40 міських об’єктів, назви яких пов’язані з Російською Федерацією та її сателітами", - йдеться в повідомленні.
Зокрема, колишню вулицю Жолудєва та станцію швидкісного трамвая перейменували на честь Олександра Махова, загиблого воїна 95 окремої десантно-штурмової бригади Збройних Сил України.
"Мені буде ніяково кожен раз, коли голос в трамваї оголосить "Наступна станція – Вулиця Олександра Махова". Кожен раз буде щось помирати всередині. Але ти на це заслужив, друже. Ти мріяв повернутись у свій Луганськ на військовій техніці. І я впевнений, Десантно-штурмові війська виконають твою мрію. Ти жив, як герой. І загинув, як герой", – розповів друг Олександра, військовослужбовець ДШВ Євген Назаренко.
- Журналіст і військовослужбовець ЗСУ Олександр Махов загинув під час бойових дій на Харківщині 4 травня. Йому було 36 років.
- Олександр працював на каналах "Україна" та "Україна 24". Журналіст висвітлював події на передовій, а також служив у Збройних Силах України. Також він був єдиним журналістом, який перебував на борту літака, що проводив евакуацію з коронавірусного Уханя. Після початку повномасштабної агресії Росії журналіст пішов на фронт.
- "Нехай його син Владислав знає: Росія відповість за цю смерть. Ми обовʼязково здобудемо для України перемогу. Впевнений, це було мрією Олександра. Ми її реалізуємо. Вічна пам'ять йому й усім нашим героям, які віддали життя за Україну!" – зазначив 5 травня президент Володимир Зеленський, висловлюючи співчуття рідним і друзям Олександра.
- У Михайлівському соборі столиці 9 травня, попрощалися із журналістом та військовослужбовцем Збройних Сил України Олександром Маховим.
- За особисту мужність і самовіддані дії, виявлені у захисті державного суверенітету та територіальної цілісності України орденом "За мужність" III ступеня нагородили журналіста Олександра Махова.
