Згодом редакція виступила із заявою, в якій називає обшук «черговою спробою «слуг народу» припинити будь-яку критику на свою адресу».
«Ухвалу на обшук у приміщенні, де працюють співробітники нашого видання, було винесено поспіхом 9 травня — одразу після кількох резонансних публікацій, присвячених корупції в керівництві обласної військової адміністрації та облради. Зв'язок, як нам здається, очевидний», – йдеться в заяві.
Як повідомив депутат Верховної Ради Олексій Гончаренко (фракція Європейська солідарність), близько 13:00 обшук завершився, журналістів пустили на роботу.
