Компанія Meta розгляне впровадження платних версій у Facebook та Instagram, у яких не буде реклами для користувачів у Європейському Союзі. Про це пише The Wall Street Journal із посиланням на трьох осіб, які знають про плани компанії.

Ті, хто платить за підписку на Facebook та Instagram, не бачитимуть реклами в додатках, сказали джерела ЗМІ, які говорили на умовах анонімності, оскільки плани є конфіденційними.

Зазначається, що такий крок може бути відповіддю на політику Євросоюзу і постанови суду, що обмежують практику збору даних Meta. Платні підписки допомогли б розв'язати проблеми, які виявляють перевірки регулюючих органів ЄС.

Meta також продовжить пропонувати безкоштовні версії Facebook і Instagram з рекламою в ЄС. За словами співрозмовників, поки незрозуміло, скільки коштуватимуть платні версії додатків і коли компанія може їх випустити
