Дочка Володимира Путіна Марія Воронцова продовжує публікувати свої роботи в наукових журналах США і Швейцарії. Західні санкції цьому ніяк не завадили, пише російський опозиційний проект "Можемо пояснити".

Воронцова - кандидат медичних наук і ендокринолог за освітою. Журналісти виявили на сайті Московського державного університету (МДУ) посилання на її публікації в західних виданнях.

Зокрема за 2022 і 2023 рік дочка російського диктатора опублікувала чотири статті з ендокринології та медицини в журналах The Endocrine Society (США) і MDPI Publishing (Швейцарія). Тільки одна з них вийшла до повномасштабного вторгнення в лютому минулого року. Решта три - вже після. Всі статті Воронцова випустила в співавторстві з іншими вченими з МДУ. 

Оскільки дочка Путіна з квітня 2022 року перебуває під західними санкціями, журналісти зв'язалися з видавництвами, які опублікували її роботи. Однак за два місяці відповіді на звернення так і не з'явилися.

Редактор неназваного науково-популярного журналу на умовах анонімності розповів журналістам "Можемо пояснити", що запроваджені санкції не забороняють публікуватися на Заході. При цьому авторитетні наукові журнали навіть платять гонорари за публікації, але частіше все ж таки саме автори платять журналам за можливість опублікуватися. 

"Видавництво MDPI Publishing існує всього-то з середини 1990-х, і це журнали з відкритим доступом, що ознака не дуже-то солідна. Хороші наукові журнали - це великий бізнес, де за кожну статтю просять з читача $20-30. А ось The Endocrine Society - крута, хороша організація", - розповіло джерело і відзначило, що публікація статей дочки Путіна може зіпсувати репутацію видавництва.
