Антиукраїнські течії у західній політиці не варто перебільшувати. Нечисленні ультраправі республіканці у Конгресі є винятком. Партія Роберта Фіцо "Смер" отримала лише 23% голосів у Словаччині. У Польщі націоналістична партія «Право і справедливість» виборює збереження парламентської більшості на виборах. Джо Байден наполягає, що угода про 24 млрд доларів незабаром буде досягнута.
Але політика дуже примхлива річ. Тому підтримка Києва має бути максимально закладена у майбутнє. У разі погіршення політичної ситуації в США, Європі, включаючи Британію, можливо, доведеться взяти на себе більший фінансовий та військовий тягар. Значна частина відповідальності ляже й на найбільші країни ЄС: Францію, Німеччину та Італію. Необхідно також подвоїти зусилля щодо забезпечення економічної самостійності України, постачання систем ППО, ракет, винищувачів F-16.
В умовах зростання вартості життя популістським партіям легко наполягати на тому, що витрати мають спрямовуватись на вирішення внутрішніх завдань. Але прихильники Києва мають потужне послання, про яке вони мають кричати: витрати на підтримку боротьби України мізерно малі в порівнянні з витратами на те, щоб дозволити путінській Росії здобути перемогу.
