Росія планує заблокувати VPN-cервіси, які вважає «загрозливими». Про це пише Reuters з посиланням на листування російського міністерства цифрових технологій, яке опинилося в розпорядженні державних ЗМІ.

Російське міністерство відповіло на звернення одного з депутатів, який висловив занепокоєння щодо планів фактично заблокувати всі мережі VPN. За його словами, цей крок «посилить тиск на росіян», адже віртуальні приватні мережі навіть «можуть знадобитися для безперебійної роботи побутової техніки». 

«На підставі рішення експертної комісії... в мережі мобільного зв'язку може бути здійснена фільтрація окремих VPN-сервісів і VPN-протоколів для зовнішнього трафіку, ідентифікованого як загрозливий», — ідеться у відповіді відомства РФ на лист чиновника.

Як зазначив Reuters, попит на послуги VPN різко зріс після того, як Росія обмежила доступ до деяких західних соціальних мереж після повномасштабного вторгнення в Україну в лютому 2022 року.
