Індія знижує податки на імпорт компонентів мобільних пристроїв, щоб стимулювати виробництво смартфонів. Транснаціональні компанії все частіше розглядають країну як глобальну виробничу базу,  повідомляє Bloomberg.

Як повідомляють, уряд прем'єр-міністра Нарендри Моді пізно ввечері у вівторок 30 січня оголосив, що знижує тарифи на компоненти, включаючи пластикові та металеві механічні деталі, гнізда для SIM-карт і гвинти.

Моді намагається створити умови в який компанії переноситимуть виробництво з Китаю до Індії.

Водночас уряд намагається побудувати екосистему внутрішніх постачальників, щоб забезпечити більшу частину ланцюжка створення саме для Індії. Це підвищить субʼєктність індійських постачальників, не перетворюючи крану у звичайну базу для виробництва.
