Управління з контролю за іноземними активами (OFAC) Міністерства фінансів США оголосило про запровадження санкцій проти додаткових категорій російських діамантів відповідно до рішення країн «Великої сімки».


 
Зокрема, одне рішення OFAC забороняє імпорт непромислових діамантів, видобутих у Росії, незалежно від того, чи були вони оброблені в третій країні.
 
Це рішення почне діяти з 1 березня для певних категорій діамантів, а з 1 вересня буде поширене й на додаткові категорії.
 
Другим рішенням Мінфін США забороняє імпорт ювелірних виробів із діамантами та несортованих діамантів, що походять із Росії або ввозяться з Росії, з 1 березня 2024 року.
