Як пише The Financial Times виконавчий директор SLB Олів'є Ле Пеш повідомив, що компанія не прийняла рішення, чи слідувати за двома найбільшими конкурентами Baker Hughes і Halliburton у продажу російських підрозділів, і виконує контракти з клієнтами.

SLB, яка раніше називалася Schlumberger, чинить опір тиску з боку українського уряду та правозахисних груп, які стверджують, що присутність компанії в країні сприяє отриманню доходів від продажу нафти, які використовуються для підтримки військових дій путіна.

«Російська нафтова промисловість упала б без іноземних нафтосервісних компаній… Нафта, яку SLB допомагає видобувати в росії, фінансує війну, в якій загинули десятки тисяч українських громадян. Відхід SLB стане серйозним ударом для Путіна. На що вони чекають?», — каже Лела Стенлі, старший розслідувач Global Witness, член B4Ukraine, коаліції неурядових організацій, які прагнуть відрізати росію від засобів ведення війни.
