Більшість замовлень надходить від волонтерів, які забезпечують російську армію. Starlink вирішують проблеми ефективного зв'язку між військами та їх командирами та дозволяють керувати безпілотниками та іншими передовими технологіями.

Компанія може заблокувати їхню роботу в певних країнах та місцях, але "Маск заявив, що, наскільки йому відомо, жоден термінал не був прямо або в обхід продано в рф, і що термінали не працюватимуть на російській території".
