Четверо журналісток BBC, Мартін Кроксалл, Карін Джанноне, Касія Мадера та Анніта Маквей, подали в суд на британського мовника. Про це пише Independent. 

Журналістки кажуть, що їм не вдалося отримати посади головних ведучих, бо набір на роботу відбувався з фальсифікаціями на користь певних старших ведучих. Вони вважають, що зазнали дискримінації через вік — від 48 до 54 років — та за іншими показниками.

 За словами журналісток, їх понизили в посадах і загрожує значне скорочення зарплати. 

Генеральний директор BBC Тім Деві відповів, що телекомпанія намагається досягти «справедливого рішення» щодо п’яти жінок, яких попросили повторно подати заявку на одну з двох нових посад головних ведучих.
