Торік жителя Японії оштрафували за те, що він мав при собі швейцарський ніж Victorinox. Наслідком стало посилення правил носіння холодної зброї по всьому світу, зокрема у Великій Британії та азійських країнах. У цих регіонах ножі можна брати із собою лише для роботи або активного відпочинку.

За словами Ельзенера, на деяких ринках ніж асоціюється зі зброєю. У той самий час, мультитули бренду використовуються для різних цілей, наприклад, дрібного ремонту. Замість леза компанія може додати інструменти для велосипедистів.

Інший представник Victorinox також підтвердив, що “посилення регулювання обігу ножів у різних країнах — серйозна проблема для компанії”, хоча їхня продукція і не належить до категорії “холодна зброя”.

Victorinox – найбільший виробник швейцарських ножів. Компанія була створена в місті Ібах у кантоні Швіц у 1884 році. На експорт іде 80% продукції бренду. Її продукція поставляється, наприклад, швейцарської армії та NASA.
