Науковці проаналізували відповіді понад 2,4 мільйона людей із 168 країн у найбільшому дослідженні свого роду та виявили, що вплив Інтернету на населення світу надзвичайно позитивний.

Дослідження провели після заяви Ofcom, британського медіарегулятора, який закликав вплинути на сайти соціальних мереж згідно Закону про безпеку в Інтернеті і заборонити особам молодше 18 років користуватися ними.

Вчені заявили, що результати суперечать поширеній думці про те, що інтернет - це негативне явище для суспільства. Пише Telegraph.

 Рівень задоволеності життям був на 8,5 відсотка вищий серед тих, хто мав регулярний доступ до Інтернету.

85 відсотків зв’язків між Інтернетом і добробутом були позитивними, а 0,4 відсотка – негативними. Решта були нейтральними.

Опитували людей віком від 15 до 99 років у таких сферах, як соціальне, фізичне та громадське благополуччя, щоденний позитивний і негативний досвід, а також задоволеність життям.
