Microsoft, незважаючи на раніше оприлюднені плани обмежити доступ до своїх продуктів у росії, відкрила російським користувачам оновлення Windows та Office без необхідності використання VPN.

Крім того, компанія не заблокувала доступу до своїх хмарних програмних продуктів для російських IT-компаній, як це було заплановано раніше.

Microsoft не перешкоджає закупівлі та активації нових ліцензій, придбаних через паралельний імпорт.

Від продуктів Microsoft відмовляється лише державний сектор рф, який переходить на використання російського програмного забезпечення, тим часом комерційні організації продовжують використовувати продукти Microsoft, оскільки їх застосування ще не заборонено офіційно.

Учасники ринку вважають, що такі дії Microsoft пов'язані із бажанням компанії не втрачати російський ринок.
