 Колишній власник впливової британської газети The Independent Тоні О’Рейлі помер у Дубліні. Йому було 88 років

У 1994 році O’Рейлі придбав 50 відсотків акцій The Independent у Лондоні через Independent News and Media (INM), друга половина належала Mirror Group. У 2010 році частку продали Александру Лебедєву.

О’Рейлі був засновником молочного бренду Kerrygold і  власником харчового гіганта Heinz.

О’Рейлі, який мав подвійне громадянство Ірландії та Британії, був посвячений у лицарі королевою Єлизаветою II «за довгу та видатну службу Північній Ірландії».
