 Німецьке державне телебачення опитало глядачів, чи потрібно збірній команді з футболу більше білих гравців. 21 відсоток відповів «так. Про це пише Telegraph.  На опитування відреагували футболісти і тренери.

«Це расизм. Я відчуваю, що нам потрібно прокинутися. Це питання божевільне. Є люди в Європі, яким довелося тікати через війну, економічні фактори, екологічні катастрофи, люди, які просто хочуть, щоб їх прийняли.»,  - висловився головний тренер збірної Німеччини Юліан Нагельсманн.

 ARD заявило, що замовило опитування через неодноразові запити від аудиторії про склад національної збірної. Німецька команда раніше не мала настільки різноманітний склад, як зараз, де серед провідних зірок команди капітан Ілкай Гюндоган і вінгер Лерой Сане.

Замовник опитування спортивний директор ARD Карл Валькс сказав, що компанія «приголомшена тим, що результати є такими, якими вони є, але вони також є вираженням соціальної ситуації в сьогоднішній Німеччині».
