Twitter зобов’язали виплатити штраф понад 550 000 євро колишньому співробітнику європейської штаб-квартири в Ірландії Гері Руні за несправедливе звільнення. Пише Guardian.

Після купівлі Twitter 2022 року Ілон Макс надіслав повідомлення співробітникам, у якому виклав своє бачення бізнесу. Серед іншого він написав: «Якщо ви впевнені, що хочете стати частиною нового Twitter, натисніть «Так» за посиланням нижче».

Руні не натиснув «так». Йому було повідомлено що він вважається таким, що подав у відставку 18 листопада, і що його доступ до систем Twitter було деактивовано.

Руні сказав, що його першою реакцією на електронний лист була недовіра, і що спочатку він боявся відкривати його, побоюючись, що це спам або шкідливе програмне забезпечення.

Загальна винагорода за несправедливе звільнення в розмірі 550 131 євро, рекорд Ірландії, складається з втраченої винагороди Руні в 350 131 євро з січня 2023 року по травень 2024 року та очікуваної втраченої майбутньої винагороди в 200 000 євро.
