Кріштіану Роналду, людина з найбільшою кількістю підписників у соціальних мережах (917 мільйонів на різних платформах), і, на думку багатьох, один із найкращих футболістів усіх часів, cтворив свій YouTube-канал.

На каналі під назвою «UR Cristiano» зірка футболу обговорюватиме свою «найбільшу пристрасть» (футбол), а також «його інші інтереси, включаючи сім’ю, здоров’я, харчування, підготовку, відновлення, освіту та бізнес». Окрім цього, Роналду запрошуватиме для зйомок відео різних гостей.

«Я дуже радий втілити в життя цей проєкт, — сказав Роналду. — Це було в моїй голові протягом тривалого часу, але нарешті у нас є можливість втілити це в життя. Мені завжди подобалося мати такі міцні стосунки з шанувальниками в соціальних мережах, і мій YouTube-канал дасть мені ще більшу платформу для цього, і вони дізнаються більше про мене, мою сім’ю та мої погляди на багато різних тем. Я також з нетерпінням хочу поділитися розмовами з гостями, які, без сумніву, здивують людей!».

Усього через півтори години після запуску його YouTube-канал перевищив 1 мільйон підписників, що cтало новим рекордом в історії відеохостингу. Станом на 22 серпня у Роналду вже 20,3 млн підписників.
