ІКЕА тестує онлайн-платформу в Мадриді та Осло, де люди можуть продавати свої вживані меблі ритейлера іншим. 

Платформа ІКЕА Preowned дозволяє користувачам розміщувати свої меблі з фотографіями та ціною, а самі оголошення виглядають дуже схожими на ті, що можна побачити на головному вебсайті ІКЕА. Однак покупці і продавці повинні домовитися про місце і час зустрічі, щоб передати меблі.

Наразі продавці мають можливість отримати гроші за допомогою банківського переказу без додаткових комісій або отримати подарункову картку ІКЕА з додатковими 15 відсотками до ціни покупки меблів, як зазначено на сайті ІКЕА Preowned. Однак не можна повернути товари, які пошкоджені.

Розміщення оголошення є безкоштовним, але згодом може стягуватися «символічна плата», про що сказав Financial Times Єспер Бродін, генеральний директор Ingka Group, яка управляє переважною більшістю магазинів ІКЕА.

Тестування маркетплейсу триватиме до грудня, а після буде прийняте рішення щодо наступних кроків.
