Колишній президент США Дональд Трамп заявив, що може зняти санкції з росії, якщо переможе на президентських виборах. Про це він повідомив під час виступу в Економічному клубі Нью-Йорка, зазначивши, що санкції США послаблюють долар і загрожують його статусу світової валюти, повідомляє New Republic.

Трамп підкреслив, що санкції «вбивають долар» і все, що він представляє.

На його думку, США стикаються з багатьма викликами, зокрема зі зростанням впливу Китаю, який прагне зробити свою валюту домінуючою. Саме тому Трамп хоче використовувати санкції мінімально і лише проти країн, які «на це заслуговують».

Під час свого першого президентського строку Трамп також застосовував санкції, однак заявив, що намагався їх знімати якомога швидше.
