Американська асоціація літературних перекладачів оголосила шортлист Національної премії з перекладу поезії та прози за 2024 рік, до якого увійшли перекладачі збірки «Зимовий король» Остапа Сливинського — Віталій Чернецький та Ірина Шувалова.  Про це йдеться у повідомленні на сайті асоціації.

Перекладачі збірки «Зимовий король» потрапили до списку в номінації «Поезія».

Поетична збірка вийшла у 2018 році.

Віталій Чернецький — славіст, літературознавець, перекладач української літератури англійською мовою. Професор слов'янських мов і літератур Канзаського університету.

Ірина Шувалова — поетеса та дослідниця з Києва. З 2023 року вона розпочала дослідницьку роботу при Університеті Осло в Норвегії. Авторка п'яти відзначених нагородами поетичних збірок.

Національна премія з перекладу поезії та прози щорічно присуджується в галузі поезії та прози перекладачам, які зробили видатний внесок у розвиток англомовної літератури, «майстерно відтворивши художню силу книги бездоганної якості».

Переможці будуть оголошені 26 жовтня на церемонії нагородження в рамках щорічної конференції «ALTA47: Voices in Translation» у Мілвокі (штат Вісконсин).

Перекладачі-переможці отримають грошову винагороду в розмірі 4 тисячі доларів кожен.
