Японський підрозділ Google випустив нескінченну клавіатуру — пристрій у вигляді пончика, що являє собою нескінченну петлю з клавішами з обох боків. 

 
 

Команда Google Japan хотіла створити клавіатуру, яку можна використовувати як з лицьового, так і зі зворотного боку, в будь-якому положенні і кількома людьми. Клавіатура двостороння, за геометрією нагадує стрічку Мебіуса. 

Клавіатура не має чіткого верху чи низу, а її поверхня має нахил. Користувачі можуть набирати текст на 360 градусів навколо пристрою, тримаючи його будь-яким способом. Клавіатура має 208 механічних клавіш. Її вага становить «20,8 пончиків» Krispy Kreme — це приблизно 1 кг, а радіус — 10 см.

Цікаво, що нескінченна клавіатура спочатку з’явилась як першоквітневий жарт у 2019 році для просування віртуальної клавіатури Gboard, яку можна використовувати на пристроях Android та iPhone. Таку клавіатуру можна було створити самостійно, використовуючи схеми з відкритим вихідним кодом, STL-файли для 3D-друку та прошивку — все це було доступно на вебсервісі для спільної розробки ПЗ GitHub.
