Очільник РПЦ Володимир Гундяєв, відомий як патріарх Кирил, на прохання російського диктатора Володимира Путіна освятив хрести й ікони для військових РФ. Про це йдеться у пресслужбі московського патріархату.

Зазначається, що увечері 6 січня до Храму Христа Спасителя прибув Володимир Путін, який попросив освятити натільні хрестики та іконки, які "я планую передати в подарунок усім нашим командувачам, тим, хто виконує особливо важливі завдання в зоні спеціальної військової операції із захисту вітчизни". 

"Дорогий Володимире Володимировичу, тут хрести, а також натільні ікони із зображенням святого рівноапостольного великого князя Володимира, засновника нашої держави, того, хто захищав із мечем у руках вітчизну нашу, який і зараз залишається символом збирання руської землі. Але, крім того, це ще й ваш небесний покровитель. Так що, думаю, це буде особливо зрозуміло і приємно для всіх воїнів, які отримають ці зображення", - заявив патріарх Кирил.

Як повідомляється, на окремих ланках ланцюжків до хрестів будуть вигравірувані ініціали Путіна.
