 Чат-бот Grok від компанії xAI відмовлявся відповідати на запити, що містили джерела, які «поширюють дезінформацію» про Ілона Маска та Дональда Трампа. За словами керівника інженерного відділу xAI Ігоря Бабушкіна, це сталося через зміни в системних налаштуваннях бота, які без погодження вніс один із колишніх співробітників OpenAI, що працює в xAI.  

 Бабушкін пояснив, що Grok має відкриті правила модерації відповідей, і користувачі можуть ознайомитися з ними. За його словами, співробітник, який вніс зміни, вважав це корисним, але такі дії не відповідають принципам компанії.  

 Ілон Маск позиціює Grok як «максимально правдошукачний» ШІ, що має на меті «зрозуміти всесвіт». Водночас остання версія бота Grok-3 зробила суперечливі заяви, зокрема зазначала, що Маск, Трамп і віцепрезидент Джей Ді Ванс «завдають найбільшої шкоди Америці».  

 Раніше розробники також втручалися в роботу Grok, щоб запобігти відповідям, які могли б трактуватися як заклики до насильства проти політиків. Це ще раз порушує питання про баланс між алгоритмічною модерацією та свободою слова у ШІ.  

 Цей випадок піднімає важливе питання: наскільки прозорими можуть бути алгоритми ШІ, якщо навіть у відкритих системах можливі непередбачені зміни?
