 Після зміни адміністрації у США помітно активізувались дипломатичні сигнали з боку Росії щодо потенційного припинення вогню. Проте, як свідчить аналіз заяв і публікацій, підтримка переговорів з боку Москви — радше інструмент пропаганди.

 З початку року до середини березня 60% заяв російських посадовців щодо США мали позитивний характер — різкий контраст із лише 20% на початку січня. Заяви Путіна про те, що за Трампа війна нібито не почалась би, підтверджують спроби делегітимізувати попередню владу США.  

 Водночас російські військові блогери — неофіційний рупор Кремля — у 10 разів частіше критикують ідею переговорів, ніж підтримують її. 

 Кремль зберігає жорстку риторику щодо ЄС і НАТО: 89% заяв про ЄС та 93% — про НАТО мали негативне забарвлення. 

 Російська стратегія — демонструвати відкритість до миру на рівні офіційних заяв, водночас підживлюючи антивоєнну риторику у формі критики України.
