Американська компанія McDonald’s подала заявку до російського Роспатенту для поновлення реєстрації свого товарного знака «Макдоналдс». Документи було подано ще в грудні 2024 року, і в квітні 2025-го їх прийняли до розгляду. Однак це рішення жодним чином не пов'язане з поверненням бренду на російський ринок.
McDonald’s, який у травні 2022 року повністю залишив росію на знак протесту проти збройної агресії проти України, виступив із чіткою заявою: компанія залишається вірною своїм цінностям і не планує відновлювати діяльність у державі-агресорі. Подання заявки пояснюється виключно прагненням захистити свої торговельні марки від використання сторонніми особами у росії.
«Ми регулярно поновлюємо права на наші бренди в усьому світі, щоб не допустити їхнього несанкціонованого використання, зокрема в країнах, де ми більше не працюємо», — наголосили в McDonald’s.
Таким чином, російські спроби спекулювати брендом McDonald’s вкотре зазнали провалу: американська компанія чітко дистанціювалася від будь-якої діяльності на території росії.
