Увечері 25 травня 2015 на офіційному сайті МВС України було опубліковано повідомлення про внесення до Єдиного реєстру досудових розслідувань інформації майже 20-річної давності за двома фактами правопорушень, нібито пов'язаних з неправомірними діями якихось "невстановлених осіб" щодо телеканалу "Інтер".

Головним слідчим управлінням МВС України до Єдиного реєстру досудових розслідувань внесено відомості про вчинення кримінальних правопорушень, передбачених ч.1 ст. 171 (Перешкоджання законній професійній діяльності журналістів), ч. 2 ст. 364 (Зловживання владою або службовим становищем) Кримінального кодексу України.
