Регионалка Елена Бондаренко заявила, что журналисты, находясь в зоне боевых действий, должны быть готовы рисковать своей жизнью.

Такое заявление она сделала, когда группа журналистов в Верховной Раде Украины показывали ей фото избитых журналистов-коллег, спрашивая, допустимо ли, чтобы работники МВД били представителей СМИ.

"Я думаю, что для вас не секрет, что, если идут боевые действия, всегда есть пострадавшие. К сожалению, журналист в данных условиях тоже незащищен", - отметила Бондаренко.

"Вспомните наших журналистов, погибших в "горячих точках"... Журналисты умирают везде и всюду. К сожалению, этот счет не закрыт", - добавила она, сообщает УП.

В ответ на замечание журналистов о том, что речь идет не о "горячей точке", а об избиении работников медиа в Украине, регионалка заявила, что представители прессы относятся к ней невежливо, и ушла.

По данным Института массовой информации, во время столкновений 19-27 января пострадали уже 60 журналистов . Представители прессы, которые находились на улице Грушевского, утверждали, что милиция стреляет в них умышленно. В декабре получило огласку дело об избиении журналистки и активистки Татьяны Черновол, которая расследовала деятельность известных властных деятелей.
