В украинском парламенте — массовая защита диссертаций. Несмотря на плотный график работы в Раде, слуги народа покоряют научные вершины — обзаводятся корочками кандидатов и докторов наук. По информации "Вестей" треть всех народных избранников уже со степенью. При этом ни один из нынешних кандидатов и докторов в Раде не смог ответить на вопрос, какую надбавку к зарплате он получает за научную степень.

Больше всего любителей науки среди регионалов - 52 кандидата наук и 22 доктора, в «Батькивщине» кандидатов вполовину меньше, а вот в «УДАРе», Компартии и «Свободе» всего по одному доктору. В основном обладатели мандатов штурмуют юридические и филологические дисциплины.
