Позафракційний народний депутат Сергій Міщенко очолив Луганський виборчий штаб Петра Порошенка. Про це PRпорталу повідомив один з представників регіонального штабу. Сергій Міщенко "засвітився" з кандидатом на посаду Президента 23 квітня під час візиту Петра Порошенка до Луганська. 

Також Сергій Міщенко залишається куратором одного з округів на Київщині по якому його було обрано до Верховної Ради під час виборів 2012 року
