У ці вихідні український олігарх Рінат Ахметов ініціював зустріч олігархів в готелі «Хайят» у Києві. При цьому сам Ахметов не приїхав і надіслав представляти свої інтереси іншого олігарха Сергія Таруту.

Приїхав радник Президента Петра Порошенка Юрій Косюк, колишній зять іншого президента Леоніда Кучми Віктор Пінчук, Костянтин Жеваго представляла депутат Анжеліка Лабунська. Ігор Коломойський «з'їзд олігархів» проігнорував.

Після того як олігархи прийшли до висновку, що Україна переживає важкі часи, і потрібно з цим щось робити, вирішили створити нову партію, так як Партія регіонів вже вичерпала себе, а Опозиційний блок не має особливого успіху.

Олігархи прийшли до висновку, що потрібно використовувати принцип Садового та створити партію за аналогією з Самопоміччю – без відомих осіб, ще не знеславлених в очах виборців.

Передбачається, що вони обов'язково оголосять «війну олігархам», і будуть «боротися» за ті гроші, які олігархи вкладуть в їх розкручування.

Про тему з'їзду стало відомо завдяки джерелу одного з інтернет-видань, який поширив цю інформацію.

За даними PRпорталу цією "новою партією" може стати "Наш край" депутата та екс-регіонала Антона Кіссе.
