Акаунти гравців з віртуальними колекціями покемонів продаються незважаючи на те, що це суперечить правилам гри. Згідно з ними подібні кроки роблять гру безглуздою, проте продавців це не зупиняє.

На вартість акаунта, крім зібраної колекції покемонів, також впливає рівень персонажа. В цілому ж ціни варіюються від кількох сотень доларів до декількох тисяч.

Видання зазначає, що, принаймні, одному з продавців вже вдалося продати свій акаунт за 1,5 тисячі доларів.

"Ви купуєте мій акаунт, в який я вклав свій час і свої сили. Я сильно спростив вам ігровий процес. Я всього лише бідний студент і по вуха в боргах, мені важливий кожен пенні", - вказав в оголошенні автор.
