Несколько общественных организаций пригрозили устроить 20 января акцию протеста в Вашингтоне, чтобы сорвать инаугурацию избранного президента США Дональда Трампа. Они намерены заблокировать все 12 пунктов пропуска к месту проведения церемонии.

В число протестующих входят представители общественного объединения DisruptJ20 и движения за права темнокожих Black Lives Matter, сообщает Русская служба Би-би-си.

"Мы хотим увидеть восстание, закипающее в этом городе и по всей стране", - сказал организатор акции Дэвид Терстон.

Протестующие хотят устроить и другие "сюрпризы", но опасаются столкновений со сторонниками Трампа.

Всего 27 инициативных групп получили разрешение на проведение акций в Вашингтоне в день ингаугурации – это в четыре раза больше, чем в среднем выдавалось в предыдущие дни инаугураций.

Предполагается, что торжество посетят более 800 тысяч зрителей, безопасность будут обеспечивать более 15 тысяч правоохранителей.
