Аналітична компанія Deep Root Analytics помилково виклала у відкритий доступ дані на 198 мільйонів американських виборців.

"Ми беремо на себе відповідальність за цю ситуацію", - йдеться в заяві компанії, яка за замовленням Національного комітету Республіканської партії США займалася дослідженнями складу і поглядів виборців.

Нагадаємо, що витік була виявлена компанією UpGuard, що спеціалізується на питаннях безпеки. Після цього на базі даних був встановлений пароль, проте близько двох тижнів вона була у відкритому доступі.

Нагадаємо, що у 2016 році WikiLeaks оприлюднив 31-шу частину листування глави передвиборного штабу кандидата в президенти США від Демократичної партії Гілларі Клінтон Джона Подеста.

У відкритий доступ потрапили понад 2,5 тисячі електронних листів, а загальне їх число перевищило 50 тисяч.
