В преддверии 89-й церемонии вручения наград премии «Оскар» американский комик и ведущий Сет Майерс (Seth Meyers) снял пародийный трейлер «Приманка для "Оскара"», в котором посмеялся над избитыми темами «оскаровских» фильмов. Ролик был опубликован 21 февраля на YouTube-канале Late Night with Seth Meyers.

В трейлере, который за один день набрал более 200 тысяч просмотров, Майерс соединил множество стереотипов, присущих картинам-номинантам премии «Оскар» — неизлечимую болезнь главного героя, гомофобию, расизм, неправдоподобные философские монологи, кадры, снятые крупным планом и бурные эмоции персонажей ленты. «Я не заплакал, но главный герой плакал 47 раз», — говорится в одной из фейковых рецензий к «Приманке для "Оскара"».

«Даже почтальон плакал, хотя он был в кадре всего две секунды», — отметили в другой.

89-я церемония вручения «Оскара» за заслуги в области кинематографа за 2016 год состоится 26 февраля 2017 года в голливудском театре «Долби». Ее впервые проведет популярный американский телеведущий Джимми Киммел.
