5 грудня в німецькому Бремені відбулося вручення премії імені Ганни Арендт,відомого німецько-американського філософа, історика, політичного теоретика. З формулюванням "за політичну думку" відзнаку було вручено українському письменнику Юрію Андруховичу та колишнім учасницям панк-гурту Pussy Riot. Про це повідомляєCultprostir.
Про те, що премія належатиме саме цим діячам, які "у своїй діяльності відкрито та мужньо, незважаючи на небезпеки, відстоюють свою політичну думку", стало відомо ще влітку цього року. За уточненням Deuttsche Welle, премією імені Ганни Арендт опікується Фонд імені Генриха Белля, в офіційній заяві якого зазначено, що "лауреатки і лауреат живуть та працюють на постімперському просторі колишнього Радянського Союзу та опираються спробі відновити старий режим в Україні та Росії та знищити політичні свободу. Причому умови в незалежній Україні, звичайно, відрізняються від тих, що у Росії, яка під владою Путіна може повернутися до попередніх царських та радянського насильницьких режимів".
