Представники Apple і Time Warner інформацію про можливу операцію не коментують.

Зазначається, що купівля Time Warner дасть корпорації Apple великий вплив у сфері медіа та видавничої діяльності.

Компанія отримає права на концерн Warner Bros. Pictures, новинний контент CNN, канал HBO, видавництво коміксів DC Comics, а також на популярні фільми, серіали і шоу, такі як Володар перснів, Гаррі Поттер, Супермен, Бетмен, Гра пристолів, Last Week Tonight, Leftovers, Теорія великого вибуху, Закон і порядок, документальний серіали The Jinx and Vice, і багато іншого.

Time Warner - один з найбільших медіахолдингів у світі. Володіє кіностудією Warner Bros., що випускає телепрограми для всіх великих мовленнєвих і кабельних мереж. Її підрозділ Turner Broadcasting включає в себе телевізійні канали CNN, TNT, TBS, Cartoon Network і truTV.

Також до числа її активів відноситься кабельна і супутникова телемережа HBO. У 2014 році виручка холдингу склала $27,4 млрд, а чистий прибуток - $3,8 млрд, капіталізація на NYSE - $56,4.
