Віце-президент США у своєму виступі в сесійній залі Верховної Ради України доволі різко висловився з приводу дій Росії на окупованих територіях України й анексії Криму.

Він нагадав, що усі народи повинні мати право на суверенітет, і Росія порушила ці правила, пише Укрінформ

«Усі народи повинні мати право на власний суверенітет. Усе, на цьому крапка! У 21 сторіччі країни не можуть, і ми не можемо їм дозволити, перекроювати кордони силою. В цьому і є основні правила. Росія порушила ці правила і продовжує порушувати їх. І сьогодні Росія окупувала незалежну українську територію. Я хочу чітко заявити: США ніколи, ніколи не визнає спроби Росії анексувати Крим… Немає виправдання таким діям. І коли Росія продовжує перекидати свої війська, своїх бандитів, найманців, ракети – усе це наповнює Донбас… Сепаратисти, організовані Москвою і якими керує Москва. Москва! Тому США продовжуватимуть стояти поруч із Україною проти російської агресії»

Сьогодні віце-президент США виступив у сесійній залі Верховної Ради.

У парламенті також присутні Президент Петро Порошенко, Прем'єр-міністр Арсеній Яценюк та весь склад Уряду.
