Коні королеви Британії Єлизавети ІІ виграли понад 7 мільйонів фунтів стерлінгів (близько 7,5 млн євро) за останні 30 років перегонів.
 

Про це повідомляє Еспресо.ТВ із посиланням на  The Telegraph.

Видання зазначає, що минулий рік приніс королеві одразу 557,6 тисяч фунтів і став рекордним у плані дохідності від перегонів.

Наразі на рахунку коней королеви 451 перемога, які були здобуті в 15,9% змагань. 

Найуспішнішим із коней королеви є Мерлін, який переміг у трьох із восьми перегонів та приніс Єлизаветі ІІ майже 22 тисячі фунтів.

Повідомляється, що королева давно цікавиться розведенням коней і щоранку за сніданком читає присвячене перегонам видання Racing Post.

Зазначається, що більша частина виграшу в перегонах іде тренерам коней, хоча Букінгемський палац і відмовляється надати цю інформацію, стверджуючи, що це приватна справа.
