Королева Великобритании Елизавета II инвестировала в офшоры около 10 млн фунтов ($13 млн).

Об этом свидетельствуют данные из так называемых "Райских документов", публикация которых вскрыла новые схемы уклонения от уплаты налогов высокопоставленных политиков, передает BBC Украина.

Средства королевы вкладывало в фонды на Каймановых островах и на Бермудах Герцогство ланкастерское, которое обеспечивает Елизавету II доходами и управляет инвестициями в пределах ее частной собственности в 500 млн фунтов.

Как отмечается, в этих инвестициях нет ничего противозаконного, однако их обнародование все же может повлиять на репутацию короны.

В частности, незначительная часть средств была вложена фондами в лизинговую компанию BrightHouse, обвиняемую в наживе на бедных, а также в Threshers - сеть британских магазинов, которая после банкротства задолжала налогов на 17,5 млн фунтов, и оставила без работы 6 тысяч человек.

Ранее сообщалось, что репортеры, входящие в Международный консорциум журналистских расследований, вскрыли новые схемы уклонения от уплаты налогов высокопоставленных политиков, изучив около 13,4 миллиона секретных документов. Результаты расследования, получившего название "Райские документы", были опубликованы в воскресенье, 5 ноября.
