Ноябрьский номер британского Vogue посвящен «реальным женщинам» и выйдет без профессиональных моделей. Вместо них на страницах издания появятся женщины разного возраста, занимающие руководящие должности: историк архитектуры Шуми Боуз, директор благотворительной организации Брита Фернандез Шмидт, арт-директор Hello Love Studio Джейн Хатчинсон и исполнительный директор технологической компании Vinaya Кейт Ансворс. Для обложки снялась актриса Эмили Блант.

Редактор журнала Александра Шульман рассказала, что подтолкнуло Vogue на такой шаг: по её мнению, на страницах изданий о моде редко появляются женщины-руководители.

«Существует стереотип, что стремление хорошо выглядеть, ухаживать за собой или экспериментировать со стилем характеризует женщин в сфере развлечений и моды, но не политики или бизнеса», — рассказала Шульман
