Французький журнал Charlie Hebdo опублікував карикатуру на уламки малайзійського Боїнг, який зник у березні 2014 року.

Родичі загиблих були обурені карикатурою. Так, 18-річна Маїра Елізабет, дочка загиблого стюарда, назвала карикатуру "дурною і відразливою". "Це неетично з боку журналу, так як це ображає все і всіх", - заявила дівчина.

39-річний Кельвін Шим, що втратив в катастрофі дружину і сам виховує двох дітей, також був засмучений подією. На думку Шима, читачі французького видання "явно не розуміють, як це, коли члени сім'ї пропадають безвісти".
