Плани по об’єднанню додатків почнуть втілювати з «2020 року чи пізніше».
 

Як пише Mashable, керівник компанії Facebook Марк Цукерберг на щоквартальних перемовинах з акціонерами підтвердив плани про синхронізацію додатків Messenger, WhatsApp, та Instagram. За його словами, це має спростити користувачам надсилання повідомлень між програмами.

«Ми почали про це думати, але ще багато чого потрібно обмізкувати перш ніж фіналізувати план», — сказав пан Цукерберг.

Він пояснив, що причиною такого рішення також є бажання поширити кодування повідомлень на всі додатки. Поки така опція доступна у WhatsApp. Хоча «Детектор медіа» вже писав, що саме наскрізне шифрування повідомлень у цьому месенджері стало однією з причин масового поширення там фейків.

Крім того, таке об’єднання має спростити маркетологам можливість поширювати свої оголошення на різних платформах від Facebook. Керівник компанії також зауважив, що 10 млн користувачів у світі використовують Messenger як основний додаток для СМС.

Під час зустрічі стало відомо, що у четвертому кварталі 2018 року Facebook заробив16,9 млрд. Це на 30 % більше, ніж минулого року. Найбільший ріст користувачів був у Азії та Філіпінах.

Нагадаємо, раніше у Facebook розповіли, як регулюватимуть передвиборну рекламу та протидіятимуть фейкам. Україна стане однією з перших країн, де Facebook апробує нову політику розміщення передвиборної реклами.
