Центральна виборча комісія (ЦВК) Румунії 9 березня вирішила не допускати кандидатуру проросійського Келіна Джорджеску на президентські вибори. Про це пише Digi24.
10 членів комісії з 14 визнали його кандидатуру не дійсною, попри рішення Конституційного суду Румунії від 8 березня дозволити політикові знову балотуватися у президенти.
Після цього під штаб-квартирою ЦВК у Бухаресті зібралися прихильники політика. За даними румунської редакції «Радіо Свобода», після 22:00 там було близько 700-800 людей, а станом на 23:30 участь в акціях протесту вже брали близько півтори тисячі людей.
Кілька демонстрантів перекинули телевізійну машину телерадіокомпанії Digi24 та спробувала її підпалити. Деякі учасники акції також зруйнували огородження.
Правоохоронцям довелося застосувати сльозогінний газ. За фактом пошкодження телевізійного авто відкрили кримінальне провадження.
Сам Джорджеску у своєму дописі в Х назвав себе «борцем за демократію» і заявив, що у Європі «панує диктатура». Політик також звинуватив владу Румунії в «тиранії».
Після рішення ЦВК політик зможе протягом 24 години подати апеляцію до Конституційного суду, який матиме ще 48 годин на ухвалення рішення.
Перший тур президентських виборів у Румунії запланований на 4 травня.
