Данія купила інформацію Panama Papers і тепер планує вивчити дані своїх громадян, які фігурують в офшорних архівах

Данія стала першою країною, яка офіційно купила подібну інформацію. Міністр податків Данії Карстен Лаурітцен заявив, що податкова служба країни заплатила 9 млн крон (1,2 млн євро) за інформацію, яка була викрадена в юридичній фірмі Mossack Fonseca.

За словами міністра, анонімне джерело передало низку документів, і уряд переглянув їх. Після того, як чиновники впевнилися, що документи справжні, уряд таємно отримав згоду від політичних партій у парламенті на купівлю інформації.

"Все свідчить про те, що це буде корисна інформація. Ми зобов'язані зробити це для всіх датських платників податків, які сумлінно платять податки", - сказав Лаурітцен.
