Плакаты появились на улицах Копенгагена за три недели до выборов, которые состоятся 18 июня. В качестве предвыборного лозунга Вагнер выбрал фразу: «Голосуйте за Вагнера. Это выгодно!». Он выступает как независимый кандидат, а предвыборные обещания включают в себя такие пункты как бесплатное лечение в стоматологиях, введение шестимесячных отпусков, увеличение налога на вредные для здоровья продукты питания и т.д.
