Французского депутата Тьерри Мариани освободили от занимаемой должности вице-президента группы Европейской народной партии в ПАСЕ после посещения Крыма. Об этом в воскресенье, 1 ноября, сообщил посол Украины во Франции Олег Шашмур.

«Устранение Тьерри Мариани с должности вице-президента Европейской народной партии в Парламентской ассамблее Совета Европы стало логическим следствием безответственной политики», – написал посол на странице в Фейсбуке.

Отмечается, что его заявления и поездка в Крым неоднократно вызывали беспокойство среди членов партийной группы. 

Напомним, 23 июля группа французских сенаторов вопреки запретам посетила оккупированный Крым.
