Кандидат в президенты США миллиардер Дональд Трамп считает, что только США по-настоящему борются за Украину. Об этом он заявил в интервью The New York Times.

«Мы сражаемся за Украину, но больше никто этого не делает, разумеется, кроме самой Украины. И я считаю, что это несправедливо и нелогично», — сказал Трамп.

Он подчеркнул, что страны, граничащие с Украиной и в целом страны Европы не слишком вовлечены в украинский кризис.

«По факту, им [странам Европы] нужен российский газ, российская нефть и другие вещи, поэтому они просто держат рты на замке», — заключил миллиардер.

Ранее Трамп предложил урезать расходы США на НАТО в связи с тем, что европейские союзники по северо-атлантическому альянсу ничего не делают для урегулирования ситуации на Украине. «Украина — страна, которая волнует нас куда меньше, чем других членов НАТО, но именно мы тащим все это на себе», — посетовал Трамп. «Почему мы всегда должны быть теми, кто ведет к потенциальной Третьей мировой войне с Россией?» — задался вопросом республиканец.
