В пятницу, 15 апреля, министр промышленности Испании Хосе Мануэль Сориа объявил о решении уйти в отставку в связи с панамским скандалом.

Как сообщает местное агентство EFE, Сориа отказывается от любой политической деятельности и своего места в парламенте страны, передает Новое время

В своем заявлении испанский министр пояснил, что уходит "в свете череды ошибок, сделанных в течение последних нескольких дней относительно объяснений моей предыдущей бизнес-деятельности до моего прихода в политику в 1995 году".

Напомним, 11 апреля тысячи жителей Мальты вышли на протесты с требованием отставки премьер-министра Джозефа Муската, а также министра энергетики Конрада Миззи и главы кабинета премьера Кейт Шембри, которые замешаны в международном офшорном скандале.

Международный консорциум журналистов-расследователей (ICIJ) опубликовал масштабное расследование о офшорных компаниях, которые используются влиятельными людьми для уклонения от уплаты налогов. Среди фигурантов офшорного скандала значатся фамилии 12 действующих и бывших мировых лидеров, бизнесменов и официальных лиц, в том числе и президент Украины Петр Порошенко.
